Acts 18:24-end
Meanwhile a Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesus. He was a learned man, with a thorough knowledge of the Scriptures. 25He had been instructed in the way of the Lord, and he spoke with great fervour and taught about Jesus [...]

Isaiah 55:1-5; Romans 9:1-5
and
Matthew 14:22-33

Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. 23After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone, 24but the [...]

A blog could be a relatively good place to keep a journal of sermons, in my opinion – it can keep a simple record and create an opportunity for people to comment on what they’ve heard. So, I’ll give it a go.

1. What is the task of the [...]

Stepping Back

An article I’ve written for our Diocesan newspaper.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and for ever. Heb 13:8
As I write this, there are 115 days left until the End-of-Year Service and my last day of ordination training at St Michael’s College, Llandaff. It’s actually only 94 days if you take out the three week [...]

Resurrection

The result of a conversation with a published author after dinner this evening.
My faith depends on the Resurrection. The literal, physical resurrection of Christ from the dead. I believe that the evidence for that resurrection is convincing, and makes sense of God as He has revealed Himself through the whole Bible, not just the Gospels.
But [...]
